| PEDV-IgG

Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDV) is a single-stranded positive-sense RNA virus belonging to the Alphacoronavirus genus of the Coronaviridae family. The virion measures approximately 95-190 nm in diameter and features petal-shaped spike (S) protein projections on its surface. Its 28 kb genome encodes four structural proteins: S (spike), M (membrane), E (envelope), and N (nucleocapsid).PEDV primarily infects porcine small intestinal epithelial cells, causing watery diarrhea, vomiting, and dehydration. The mortality rate reaches 100% in suckling piglets, while growing and adult pigs exhibit milder symptoms with growth retardation. Transmission occurs mainly through fecal-oral routes, with indirect spread via fomites and vehicles. The virus demonstrates 1-7 days incubation period and can survive in feces for over 42 days.

| Recovery

The recovery of Pig PEDV-IgG spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.
 

| Linearity

Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Pig PEDV-IgG and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.
